The Bombay Catholic Sabha , Orlem Unit organized an orientation session on SIR , ( Special Intensive Revision) with the tagline :
"My Vote, My Right "
How do I secure my Vote".
While we are waiting for the Official Notification from the Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mr. S. Chockalingam on when the SIR process with guidelines will start in Mumbai / Maharashtra , this awareness session was organised for the benefit of citizens to make them aware of the processes , what elements and different type of forms to be kept in mind, various documents to be kept ready and the Booth Level Officer , ( BLO) visits to their homes. Some of them are highlighted below:
1. To start searching details of self or parents or grandparents names in 2002 electoral part.
2. To fill the enumeration form and keep it ready.
3. To keep maximum documents ready as asked by the Election Commission.
4. Youngster are requested to help the senior citizen for online filling of Enumeration form.
5. To get in touch with the Assembly constituency election office.
6. To check the BLO visiting date so that you don't miss the verification house visit
7. Not to forget to collect the enumeration form acknowledgement copy.
8. To check their names when the draft copy is published and confirm their names are there or not.
9. To take the notice given by the ERO seriously and submit all the documents for their inclusion in the voters list.
The interactive session was conducted by Norbert Mendonca , President and Dolphy Dsouza, Spokesperson - The Bombay Catholic Sabha with a power point presentation ( Attached)
Around 100 participants attended the programme. The Bombay Catholic Sabha will set up Help Desks at some locations to guide the citizens once the schedule is announced.
Among the dignitaries present were Fr. Aniceto Pereira , Parish Priest and Fr. Ronny Vaz, Asst. Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Orlem.
