Immediate response to the protest in Azad Maidan

As the common people are not getting justice at the local level, when they protest in Azad Maidan in Mumbai, movements start at the senior level in the ministry. Against this backdrop, a sit-in protest has started at Azad Maidan Mumbai under the leadership of social activist Ashokrao Tavre on various issues related to revenue administration in Pune district since April 6. On the first day itself, the Azad Maidan police immediately met Joint Secretary of the Revenue Department Ajit Deshmukh.
Deshmukh has called the District Collector of Pune and asked him to send the pending report immediately and has also given a letter to the District Collector on behalf of the Revenue Department J-5 office. Along with Ashokrao Tavre, Sudam Borkar, Mangesh Nadhe, Santosh Lohokare, Vishal Khatale, Ramrao Limbole, Rahul Abhang, Yogesh Bhamre have participated in the protest at Azad Maidan.
Chandoli, Taluka Khed. In case of Group No. 126 in District Pune, the then Tehsildar has taken action against Bhogawata 2, Bhogawata 1 without authorization in January 2020. Revenue Department J-5 has not sent the report to the District Collector Pune despite giving three letters a year ago.
In one case under Section 155, the Deputy District Collector, Kulkayada, Pune, gave a letter to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Province Khed in May 2025. In July 2025, he gave a letter to the Tehsildar, Khed, but till date, the Tehsildar has not sent the report.
The Sub-Divisional Officer, Khed has passed two orders in one case. In many cases, even after the hearing, the verdict is not given for a year. Tavre said that he will protest until concrete action is taken in all these cases and until justice is met by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
